- Employment Type Full-Time employed (Independent Contractor option available)
- Schedule / Hours 40 hours per week
- Call 14 weekends
- Patient Volume 15-18 patients per day
- Location Petersburg, VA (Richmond metro area)
- Practice Setting Inpatient Behavioral Health Hospital (Acute, Partial Hospitalization and Residential treatment)
- Support / Care Team Psychiatrists, nursing staff, therapists, and case managers
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric care to adult and adolescent behavioral health patients
- Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary care teams
- Perform psychiatric evaluations, and ongoing assessments
- Conduct medication management and med-checks
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Communicate with families regarding care and treatment updates
- Respond to psychiatric emergencies and provide crisis intervention
- Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and physician orders.
- Participate in utilization reviews and discharge planning

- Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited program
- Board Certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) (ANCC)
- Active or eligible Virginia NP/APRN license
- Current DEA certification
