- Position type Family Medicine Provider, MD/DO or NP/PA, (ages 4 ).
- Setting Inpatient behavioral hospital.
- Type Full-time or part-time available.
- Conduct comprehensive medical assessments, including initial history and physicals (H&Ps) for patients ages 4 within 24 hours of admission, follow-ups, and discharge planning.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and support staff to create integrated treatment plans addressing medical and mental health needs.
- Co-manage patients with complex medical comorbidities alongside mental health providers.
- Educate patients and families on medical conditions, medications, and lifestyle adjustments to enhance overall health.
- Provide medical consults and recommend diagnostic tests and treatments as needed.
- Deliver emergency care within your licensure scope until specialized care is available.
- Licensure Alaska Physician Medical license (MD/DO), or the ability to obtain licensure prior to start.
- Education Completion of an accredited medical school with Family Medicine residency training.
- Certification Board‑eligible or board‑certified in Family Medicine (for MD/DO).
- Experience New graduates with relevant clinical training and strong interest in behavioral health will be considered.
