The Heritage Oaks Patient Enrichment Center, more commonly known as the ‘HOPE Center,’ opened in 2021 as a state-of-the art, 16-bed, behavioral health facility serving the acute psychiatric needs of the community in concert with the Sacramento County Department of Health and Human Services.

About The Opportunity:
The Director of Nursing will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team who will integrate and coordinate a patient centric nursing strategy with a keen focus on patient care; ensuring that delivery of high-quality and cost-effective health care is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services and in accordance with government regulation, licensing and accreditation requirements. The DON will participate in the hospital’s strategic planning and contributes to the achievement of institutional goals and objectives. The Director of Nursing will focus on 5 key areas: People, Service, Quality, Growth, and Finance.
Must have: MSN or BSN with minimum 5 years of Nursing Leadership experience.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of nursing; Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum two (5) years experience in nursing administration and/or dedicated leadership experience in psychiatric nursing; four (4) years experience in nursing administration and/or dedicated leadership experience in psychiatric nursing preferred.
Licensure: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
Additional Requirements: A thorough knowledge of JCAHO, HCFA, OSHA regulations and all state and federal regulatory standards.
