Director of Intake

Wellstone Regional Hospital is a 100-bed acute care facility located in Jeffersonville, Indiana and has been providing quality health care to the residents of Southern Indiana and the Louisville area since 2003. Wellstone specializes in the treatment of Adolescents, Children, and the Adult population.  In addition to our in-patient services, we offer out-patient programs as well. Wellstone is currently searching for an experienced Director of Intake.

The Director of Intake is accountable for the oversight and direction of the hospital’s Admissions Department.  Position provides direction to a staff of specialists in the provision of patient access to care and behavioral health assessment services, including call management, clinical evaluations for level of care, crisis intervention, admissions, and referrals. 

This position interfaces closely with the hospital’s medical staff, nursing staff, fellow department heads, and administration, as well as external referring agencies and payers.  The Intake Director is responsible for the department’s budget, policies and procedures, regulatory compliance, service excellence, and data management/analysis. In addition, the Intake Director participates with the senior leadership team in the development and management of processes related to the hospital’s strategic goals.

Hours are based on departmental and facility needs and may include day, evening, and weekend hours, as directed by the CEO/Managing Director.

QUALIFICATIONS 

Education:  Master's Degree in Social Work or related field or RN in the state of Indiana.

Experience:  Three (3) tyears of related experience required, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.  

Licensure:  RN required if nurse; LCSW, LMFT preferred and must be in the state of Indiana..

Additional Requirements:  CPI and CPR training within first ninety (30) days of employment.   

Hours of Work:  Day shift, however, may include evening and weekend hours as directed by CEO.
