Job summary: Plans and delivers nutritional care to patients according to the physicians’ diagnoses.  Performs as a member of the multidisciplinary care team.    Supervises nutritional services diet clerks and other support personnel.  Exercises independent judgment under the general supervision of the Nutritional Services Director.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assesses patients’ nutritional status according to established standards
• Obtains necessary information from the medical record to determine patient’s nutritional status.
• Develops nutritional care plans based on the cultural orientation of the patient
• Evaluates the results of nutritional intervention on the patient’s nutritional status to determine the need to revise the nutritional care plan.

• Bachelor’s degree in course work approved by the Commission of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics (AND) and completion of dietetic internship and be eligible to take the national examination for registered dietitian
• NV Dietitian licensure or within 1 year with Provisional RD License in place
• Proof of current registration approved by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) within 1 year.
