Job Summary:

 We are currently seeking a Certified Full-Time Lead Medical Assistant for our Lake Elsinore location.  This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care duties which include:

• Assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.
• Interviewing patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), venipuncture and procedure as directed by the physician within the scope of practice in ­­­­­­the State Documentation is recorded in the Electronic Medical Record in accordance with IPM guideline.
• Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
• Assists in covering the front desk as required. 
• Assists the Practice Manager in leading the clinic to deliver high quality effective care.
• Work schedule is Sunday from 8:45am - 5:00pm and Monday - Thursday from 11:30am-8:00pm.
• Schedule may change based on business needs.
• Must attend mandatory meetings.

Experience/Training/Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Fluent with medical terminology required.
• Experience with patient check-in and check-out process.

Certifications/Licenses:

• Medical Assistant certificate required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Current California Driver’s License.

Other Skills and Abilities:

• Understand end of day cash balancing and charge reconciliation process (according to clinic protocol).
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Proficiency in using office equipment such as fax machine, copier and telephone system.
• Works in a well-lighted, OSHA Standard environment.
• May be in contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances.
• Occasionally subject to irregular hours.
• May be required to wear personal protective equipment as necessary
