Business Development Community Liaison- IOP- Behavioral Health
The Business Development Community Liaison is responsible for the consistent execution of outreach initiatives and referral engagement activities to support census growth for Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) services. Working within established growth strategies and organizational priorities, this role focuses on carrying out defined outreach plans, maintaining referral relationships, and ensuring a strong and reliable presence in the community. The Liaison plays a critical role in translating strategic direction into day-to-day field execution and measurable referral activity. This position is designed to maintain a clear emphasis on external engagement and implementation, enabling program leadership to focus on strategy, operations, and clinical oversight.
Responsibilities:
Outreach Execution & Field Activity
- Execute established outreach plans and territory priorities as directed
- Conduct consistent, in-person visits with referral partners to maintain visibility and engagement
- Carry out weekly outreach targets, including meetings, drop-ins, and follow-ups
- Represent the program at community events and professional gatherings as assigned
Referral Relationship Support
- Maintain ongoing contact with existing referral partners to support continued engagement
- Reinforce program offerings, clinical criteria, and appropriate placement through consistent communication
- Respond promptly to partner inquiries and facilitate connection to Admissions when appropriate
Referral Pipeline Support
- Support the generation and flow of referrals through consistent outreach activity
- Collaborate closely with Admissions to ensure timely follow-up on incoming referrals
- Track outreach efforts and maintain accurate documentation of referral interactions and outcomes
Market Presence
- Serve as a visible and reliable representative of the program within the community
- Support expansion into new referral sources as identified through leadership direction
- Provide feedback from the field to inform ongoing outreach priorities
Performance Expectations
- Consistent completion of weekly outreach activity targets
- Reliable in-field presence and partner engagement
- Contribution to referral volume through sustained outreach efforts
- Timely documentation and communication with internal teams

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field required.
- Ability to follow direction, manage a structured outreach schedule, and execute consistently in a field-based role
- 1-3 years experience in behavioral health, outreach, admissions, or related field
- Basic understanding of behavioral health levels of care (IOP/PHP preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
Preferred Experience
- Experience in mental health and/or substance use treatment settings
- Familiarity working with military populations, veterans, or veteran-serving organizations
- Existing relationships within the local behavioral health or healthcare community
- Experience with CRM systems or outreach tracking tools
