Position Summary
The Admissions Rep/Registrar is responsible for executing the registration process for new patients.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Collecting demographic and financial information
- Obtaining required patient and/or designee signatures on documentation
- Verifying insurance coverage and explaining coverage details
- Collecting all applicable out-of-pocket expenses, deductibles, and co-pays through an electronic system

Qualifications

- Education: High School Graduate or equivalent required.
- Experience: A minimum of one (1) year related experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
- Skills: Must be able to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. Must have good organizational, prioritization, computer technical skills. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Ability to maintain information as highly confidential.
- The Admission Rep/Registrar must be available to work weekends and holidays to support continuous 24-hour patient coverage. Schedule: 7 AM - 7 PM
