The Surgical Services Scheduler performs the duties required to schedule patients for surgery. Experience with surgical scheduling is necessary, cerner experience preffered.
General Responsibilities
- Communicates any preparations needed to the patient and communicates the information to all areas within surgical services.
- Review physician orders and submit to IR/Cath per procedure protocol
- Schedule recurring/STAT procedures
- High volume patient/physician phone interaction
- Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Knowledge of PC keyboard.
- Prior Radiology/ Surgery scheduling experience
- Medical Terminology required.
- Minimal data entry skills required.
