Sierra Vista Hospital is part of the UHS Family of Providers which has been highly regarded as an integral part of the greater Sacramento and Northern California mental health system since 1986. We have offered our clinical expertise to those suffering from behavioral health disorders or dual diagnosis. Our private 171-bed facility is home to a clinical team of licensed professionals committed to providing the highest quality care. We also provide inpatient alcohol detox and outpatient chemical dependency services. While most of our patients are from the Sacramento metro area, we also provide behavioral health, chemical dependency and dual diagnosis services to individuals and their families throughout northern and central California.

Sierra Vista Hospital is currently looking for a Full-time Patient Account Representative to join our Business Office Team! The Patient Account Representative is responsible for submittal of electronic and manual billings, account statements, and for follow-up with third-party payers and patients for outstanding balances. This position is also responsible for the preparation of daily cash receipts and maintenance of insurance logs.

Sierra Vista Hospital is currently looking for a Full-time Patient Account Representative to join our Business Office Team! This position is also responsible for the preparation of daily cash receipts and maintenance of insurance logs.
- Prepare and submit insurance billings to primary and secondary payers.
- Transmit all billings to third-party payers, either manually or electronically as requested.
- Provide assistance in contacting third-party payers at a 30-day interval after billing to assure that bills have been received and are being processed.
Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years prior collections experience in hospital setting recommended, psychiatric experience preferred. Must have strong written and verbal skills; ability to deal effectively with all levels of hospital management and the public. Must be able to demonstrate average to high math skills. Prior experience with on-line Admission/Billing system desirable. Knowledge of third-party payment procedures, managed care and government programs strongly recommended. Good communication skills and ability to problem solve a must. Knowledge of credit, collection, and confidentiality laws highly desirable.
