Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Production Scheduler to join our team. The scheduler will be working with multiple buildings.
BASIC FUNCTION:
- Coordinate with Program Management to manage scheduling and inventory requirements for initial runs.
- Analyze MRP and production schedules to identify potential material shortage issues well in advance and initiate appropriate corrective action and escalation as required.
- Monitor outsourced processes to ensure delivery to plants in order to ensure production is not disrupted.
- Monitor inventory levels at Subcontracted processes and ensure production plans of inventory
- Review long-term forecasts to identify and mitigate possible capacity/material issues and recommend appropriate action
- Perform ongoing analysis of weekly, monthly and future capacity to optimize product level loading and achieve manufacturing continuity during low and high-volume months.
- Collaborating with manufacturing functionality leads to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources in the most efficient manner.
- Maintain schedules and analyze capacity, revising as needed and alerting appropriate staff of schedule changes or delays and recommending resource/schedule plan changes.
- Any additional duties as reasonably assigned by management
- Experience with Plex Systems ERP is a MUST
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of Inventory Control
- Is thorough, accurate, and reliable when performing and completing job tasks; demonstrates honesty and integrity in all aspects of work
- Maintains positive working relationships with all levels of the organization
- Uses feedback from others to continuously improve performance and work relationships
- Works with sense of urgency to meet needs of external customers and internal processes
- Has ability to focus on benefits of change and see it as positive; approaches change or newness in constructive/objective manner; views change as learning opportunity
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures (e.g., employee handbook)
- Minimum of a GED or High School Diploma.
- 2 years of experience, preferably in a technical manufacturing environment or project-based scheduling.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, PowerPoint).

- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with all levels within organization.
- Knowledge and experience in the aerospace industry.
- Previous experience in automotive industry
