Manufacturing Janitor

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. This role is essential in ensuring a hygienic, organized, and welcoming environment for employees, clients, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in cleaning and custodial services, with a strong focus on quality and efficiency. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the upkeep of a professional setting while developing skills in facilities maintenance and cleaning techniques.

We are looking for a Janitor, or custodian, to take care of our buildings and carry out cleaning, maintenance and security duties. The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition. All the buildings are a manufacturing shop floor and along with some offices.

Responsibilities

• Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc)
• Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
• Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
• Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
• Make adjustments and minor repairs
• Stock and maintain supply rooms
• Cooperate with the rest of the staff
• Follow all health and safety regulations

Skills

• Proven working experience as a janitor
• Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
• Integrity and ability to work independently
• High school degree

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 56 per week

Experience:

• manufacturing Janitoring: 3 years (Required)
