Duties & Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Prepare dough, fillings, and other components following standardized recipes and procedures.
Hand-fold dumplings and soup dumplings to meet Ugly Dumpling’s quality and presentation standards.
Operate production equipment, including mixers, steamers, and cutters, safely and efficiently.
Monitor the quality and consistency of ingredients and finished products during production.
Follow all food safety protocols, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift.
Sanitize equipment, tools, and production surfaces regularly to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
Work efficiently to meet daily production quotas while minimizing waste.
Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure seamless operations.
Assist with inventory management, including monitoring ingredient levels and reporting shortages.
Support other team members during peak production periods or special events.
Participate in training sessions to refine skills and stay updated on company procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions
Previous experience in food production or kitchen prep is preferred but not required.
Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail for hand-folding dumplings and bao.
Ability to follow recipes and procedures consistently.
Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques or equipment.
Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
