Ugly Dumpling is hiring Cashier/Hosts for our location in Richmond, VA!!
** Walk-In Interviews welcome Monday-Friday from 1:00pm - 4:00pm (Ask for a Manager upon arrival) **
Job Summary: As a Cashier/Host with Ugly Dumpling, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a seamless dining experience. You will handle cash transactions, manage reservations, and provide exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greeting Guests: Welcome guests as they arrive, provide menus, and inform them of wait times.
- Cash Handling: Process payments, handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, and maintain a balanced cash drawer.
- Customer Service: Address guest inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide information about the menu and restaurant services.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized host station and dining area, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Collaboration: Work closely with servers and kitchen staff to facilitate smooth service and enhance the guest experience.
- Sales Support: Promote daily specials and upsell menu items to enhance revenue.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in a customer service role preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and processing payments.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus.
