Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
- Conduct routine custodial tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, trash removal, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold hygiene standards
- Maintain floor care by buffing, stripping, waxing, and applying protective finishes to ensure surfaces are safe and visually appealing
- Assist with industrial cleaning projects including high-pressure washing or specialized cleaning tasks as needed
- Support facilities maintenance activities by reporting repairs or safety hazards promptly
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored for efficient operations
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment to maintain a safe working environment
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services with a focus on commercial or industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery including buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and pressure washers
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance procedures and basic repair reporting
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting heavy objects, and performing repetitive tasks over extended periods
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues promptly
