Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies.
• Conduct routine custodial tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal to uphold high cleanliness standards.
• Operate floor care equipment including buffers and polishers to maintain shiny, well-kept surfaces.
• Handle industrial cleaning tasks involving heavy-duty equipment or specialized cleaning agents when required.
• Maintain cleanliness in both commercial and residential spaces by performing detailed cleaning procedures tailored to each environment.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to the appropriate teams.
• Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to ensure a hazard-free environment for yourself and others.
• Keep detailed logs of completed tasks and supply inventory levels for restocking purposes.
• Support additional duties like porter services or light maintenance work as needed to keep facilities running smoothly.

Skills

• Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial roles with a strong understanding of cleaning techniques and equipment operation.
• Expertise in floor care including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing surfaces to achieve professional results.
• Familiarity with commercial cleaning standards and industrial cleaning procedures for large-scale environments.
• Ability to perform residential painting or minor maintenance tasks as part of comprehensive facilities upkeep.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple cleaning responsibilities efficiently.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to custodial work, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting maintenance issues promptly.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
