Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
- Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold high hygiene standards
- Maintain floor care through buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing to preserve the appearance and safety of all flooring surfaces
- Assist with industrial cleaning projects and commercial cleaning tasks in larger facilities or specialized areas
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs needed or safety hazards identified during cleaning routines
- Use custodial equipment effectively while adhering to safety protocols and proper handling procedures
- Contribute to a clean and organized work environment by managing supplies inventory and restocking as necessary
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial duties, or custodial roles within commercial or residential settings
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning methods and facilities maintenance practices
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers and extractors safely and efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards
- Good physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, lifting heavy objects, and performing repetitive tasks over long periods
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting maintenance issues
