Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all areas of the facility
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners to maintain floors and surfaces in pristine condition
- Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning processes, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures and safety protocols
- Conduct sanitation of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to ensure compliance with health standards
- Assist with light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, minor repairs, and residential painting as needed
- Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy cleaning supplies or equipment to prevent injury
- Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers and carpet cleaners is advantageous
- Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures ensures safe and effective cleaning practices
- Experience in facilities maintenance or general custodial duties demonstrates reliability and versatility in performing various cleaning tasks
