Job Title: Packaging Operator

Job Summary
The Packaging Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining packaging equipment to ensure products are packaged accurately, safely, and efficiently according to company standards. This role supports daily production goals while maintaining high levels of quality, safety, and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
Operate packaging machinery and equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Package finished products into cartons, cases, or pallets based on production requirements
Perform routine equipment checks and basic adjustments to ensure smooth operation
Inspect packaged products for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications
Label, seal, and document packaged products correctly
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company safety and sanitation standards
Follow all safety guidelines, GMP, OSHA, and company policies
Report equipment malfunctions, defects, or safety concerns to supervisors
Meet production targets while minimizing waste and downtime
Complete production and packaging documentation accurately and on time
Assist with line changeovers and setup as required
Qualifications & Requirements
High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous manufacturing or packaging experience is a plus but not required
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
Basic math and documentation skills
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs as required
Willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed

Mechanical aptitude is an advantage
Work Environment
Manufacturing/production environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and temperature variations

May involve standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive motions
