What You’ll Do
- Lead & Learn: Supervise and motivate a team of production employees—ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in daily operations.
- Develop Your Skills: Receive mentoring from experienced plant leaders while gaining exposure to scheduling, inventory control, and workflow management.
- Drive Improvement: Analyze operations and identify ways to increase productivity, reduce waste, and improve performance metrics.
- Stay Hands-On: Oversee production floor activity, troubleshoot challenges, and make adjustments to meet goals and deadlines.
- Collaborate: Work with other departments to forecast needs, coordinate schedules, and align production with customer demand.
- Champion Safety: Promote UFP’s strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with OSHA and company standards.
What You’ll Bring
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
- Internship or leadership experience in a manufacturing, operations, or team-based environment (preferred but not required)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate and guide others
- Curiosity, initiative, and a drive to solve problems and learn continuously
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook)
