Job Summary:

UFP Industries is seeking a highly skilled and experienced software developer with a strong background in full-stack web development to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of modern web technologies, best practices, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality, enterprise-level web applications. This role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining web applications for our internal ERP system, as well as contributing to the strategic direction of our web development efforts. This position is a full-time, onsite position, based out of Grand Rapids, MI (not a remote position).

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain web-based features and applications for UFP's ERP system.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ensure code quality, scalability, and security through best practices, automated testing, and code reviews.
  • Take on complex and critical projects that requirearchitectural design work,advanced technical andproblem-solvingskills, and often cross-functional collaboration.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruptions.
  • Foster a collaborative, knowledge-sharing environment and add documentation where applicable.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of web development initiatives, including modernization and system improvements.
  • Stay up to date with emerging web technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 years of professional web development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in primary programming language (C#).
  • Strong proficiency with modern web frameworks (e.g., ASP.NET Core/Blazor, React, or similar).
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Strong understanding of database technologies (SQL/Microsoft SQL Server, Progress ABL).
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum development processes.
  • Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration tools (e.g., Azure Pipelines).
  • Preferred experience with Blazor and Blazor component libraries (e.g. MudBlazor).
  • Solid understanding of responsive design and mobile/tablet-friendly development.
  • Preferred familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure).
  • Preferred familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, Docker, etc.).
  • Preferred knowledge and experience with Windows and Microsoft Office Components including Excel, Word and Outlook.
