Financial Data Analyst

UFG is currently hiring a Financial Data Analyst to support the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of financial data used across Finance reporting and analysis. This role focuses on execution of reconciliations, data validation, reporting support, and issue resolution under guidance from the Manager and Senior Analysts.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Financial Data Support

• Execute financial data reconciliations across systems and reports
• Investigate data discrepancies and support timely resolution
• Validate data used in close, regulatory, statutory, and management reporting
  
  

Reporting & Analysis Support

• Assist with preparation and validation of financial reports
• Support Finance stakeholders by ensuring data availability and consistency
• Maintain documentation related to data sources and reconciliations
  
  

Governance & Compliance

• Support SOX and audit activities by preparing data evidence and documentation
• Follow established data governance and financial control processes
  
  

Continuous Improvement

• Identify recurring data issues and recommend improvements
• Support automation and standardization initiatives as directed
  
  

Education

Job Specifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field
  
  

Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in financial systems or ERP support
• Experience with Reporting tools & workflows a plus (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx)
• Basic understanding of financial systems
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong attention to detail

Pay Transparency

UFG Insurance is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position is $59,621 - $78,637 annually, which represents the typical range for new hires in this role. Individual pay within this range will be determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, skills, internal equity, geography and market data.
