What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate General Counsel position at UFCW Local 7?
UFCW Local 7, the largest private sector labor union In Colorado, is looking for a bright and aggressive Associate Counsel for its Legal Department.
Responsibilities:
-- Represent the Union in a variety of legal matters including labor arbitration and litigation practice before the National Labor Relations Board.
-- Occasional Appearances in Colorado State and Federal Courts or before other federal agencies
-- Provide advice on a wide variety of legal matters
-- Other activities as assigned by the President or General Counsel.
Qualifications:
-- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
-- Must be licensed to practice law in Colorado or be eligible to become licensed in Colorado within six (6) months of hire.
-- Successful applicants will have at least four (4) years of practice post-admission, with an emphasis on litigation or similar adversarial proceedings.
-- Labor and Employment experience is preferred but not required.
-- Excellent writing and legal research skills

Pay: $95,000.00 - $157,000.00 per year
