Position Summary:

This Live Streaming and Media Management Specialist is responsible for the supervision of technical operations for assigned live stream event broadcasts across UFC owned and operated digital platforms around the world (e.g. UFC Fight Pass, UFC YouTube, UFC social platforms). Live Stream duties include coordinating distribution, transmission fulfillment and quality assurance as it relates to the technical execution of the livestream  The position also includes duties overseeing digital content management and OTT product maintenance: carrying out video encoding, metadata creation, and delivery methods and organization from new and existing content libraries under the control of Zuffa. This position provides direction to associated vendors and team members involved in the live streaming and digital video cycle, while supporting key initiatives for executive stakeholders, vendors and customers.

Responsibilities:

• Activates and oversees live stream and transmission of live mixed martial arts events, press conferences, weigh-ins, and live studio shows as assigned.
• Performs Pre-Event testing, quality assurance, and broadcast coordination with disparate production and platform teams to ensure flawless live streams.
• Provides live-event streaming troubleshooting oversight to quickly reconcile technical issues as they arise, coordinating with partners to isolate root causes.
• Understands and tracks video delivery and Live event distribution deadlines, and adjusts schedules as priorities shift .
• Supports quality control of video content and app appearance, ensuring assets are loaded and play properly for end-users on supported devices, and that content appears as expected on device front-ends.
• Maintains OTT content library, including asset management and ingest, metadata optimization, and image management, and Publishes metadata to external and internal systems.
• Contributes to the search for innovation that will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of workflows associated with live streaming and media management.
• Evaluates new methods of live streaming and media management, and proposes concepts most worthy to respective team members for consideration.
• Performs other tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills & Experience:

• 2 years of technical operations experience associated with live streaming and media management.
• Demonstrated project coordination or technology operations experience in live video and or digital platform fields.
• Proven track record in planning and performing live streaming events.
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis and Escalation Procedures as it relates to live operations.
• Solid live streaming and media asset workflow acumen.
• Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization, including remote teams and external partners.
• Self-starter with the ability to strive in an existing, entrepreneurial environment.
• Ability to both work autonomously and collaboratively within a group.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to rapidly assimilate and summarize information from disparate sources.
• Action oriented with high standard for quality and performance.
• Excellent orientation to both the details and the bigger picture
