This position will be a key member of the Market leadership team, with a matrix reporting relationship to the Market President.

This position will be a key member of the Market leadership team, with a matrix reporting relationship to the Market President.
Responsibilities
- Operational Finance Leadership: Direct all financial activities related to UF Health hospital operations, including inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead annual operating and capital budgeting processes; oversee forecasting and variance analysis to inform executive decision-making.
- Performance Management: Monitor and improve key financial metrics such as operating margin, labor costs, productivity, supply chain efficiency, and revenue capture.
- Revenue Cycle Oversight: Partner with revenue cycle leaders to optimize charge capture, billing, collections, and reimbursement processes.
- Cost Containment & Efficiency: Drive cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining or enhancing patient care quality and clinical outcomes.
- Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for hospital operations, with clear communication of performance to executive and board leadership.
- Capital Planning & Resource Allocation: Evaluate capital investments, return on investment (ROI), and prioritize resource allocation to align with strategic goals.
- Compliance & Internal Controls: Maintain robust financial controls, ensure regulatory compliance, and support audit processes.
- Collaboration: Act as a financial advisor and strategic partner to operational and clinical leaders, helping to translate financial insights into operational improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field strongly preferred.
- 8-10 years of progressive financial leadership experience in hospital or health system operations.
- Strong background in hospital finance, budgeting, revenue cycle, productivity, and cost containment.
- Experience in academic medical centers or complex multi-entity health systems highly desired.
