The Talent Acquisition Associate is responsible for sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding. Acts as a recruiter for sourcing candidates and applies a screening process that allows for the best selection of candidates. Assists in the lifecycle of an employee through onboarding, retaining, and exit interviewing. This position is Integral to attaining the best talent and collaborates with leaders throughout the Hospital to achieve this.
Responsibilities
- Manages all aspects of recruiting programs and processes appropriate to meet UF Health St. John’s ongoing staffing requirements and needs.
- Manages internal and external Job Postings by creating, sourcing, screening, and delivering the most valuable candidates to Hospital Administration, Directors, and management personnel.
- Develops and promotes, in conjunction with the hospital’s Marketing Department, employment branding for UF Health St. Johns and markets and promotes UF Health’s “total value proposition” to potential applicants and candidates for employment throughout advertisement and recruitment.
- Manages new employee onboarding process from new employee processing through new employee orientation. Coordinates with Administration and Directors to create and facilitate new employee orientation materials, presentations, and overall NEO experience.
- Create New Employee Files and perform pre-employment processing of paperwork required (i.e. W4, I-9, etc.). Coordinates criminal background checks and drug testing for new hires, and background checks on chaplains.
- Creates and manages new employee data and status change entries in HRIS as applicable. Communicates HRIS entries to appropriate HR, Educational, and Information Systems personnel.
- Process employment status change requests (transfer, status change, and termination); Tracks and releases information to payroll, benefits, and necessary personnel. Conducts exit interviewing when applicable.
- Negotiates agreements with, maintains and manages relationships as to, and supervises and monitors utilization of traveler and temporary agencies in regard to hospital’s short-term staffing and labor needs. Coordinates fulfillment of such staffing needs with respective hospital departments and Directors. Tracks, reviews and approves invoicing and payments for such temporary staffing services.
- Maintains and produces regular reports of data, information and statistics regarding performance, cost, effectiveness and efficiency of recruiting programs and onboarding processes.
Qualifications
Education / Training
- Associate's Degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or Related Area of Study
Preferences:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or Related Area of Study
Experience Requirements
- 1-year Recruiting experience preferred
- 2-year Human Resources or Business Office experience preferred
Preferences:
2 years of recruiting and/or onboarding experience working in a healthcare setting
Experience working with an applicant tracking system and human resources information systems.
Certificates/Licenses/Registration
- Valid Driver’s License
Preferences:
PHR or SHRM-CP
