What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Operator| Facilities Engineering| Days position at UF Health?
Responsible for the operations of stationary engines and mechanical equipment such as chillers, compressors, generators and steam boilers. That equipment is necessary to provide utilities such as lights, heat, ventilation, medical gases and power for refrigeration, air conditioning and other services to the facility.
Responsibilities
Must have the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
Must have the ability to inspect equipment or systems and to identify conditions requiring correction.
Must have a working knowledge of common hand tools, general safety, blueprints, schematic diagrams and able to interpret instructions.
Must have a basis working knowledge of electricity and distribution systems.
Must have the ability to perform basis mechanical, carpentry and plumbing repairs.
Qualifications
HS diploma or equivalent required.
At least one year of building maintenance or central plant operations experience required.
