Overview
Inpatient pharmacy technicians are responsible for maintaining medication systems through preparation, compounding, packaging and delivery of medications. They may prepare IV medications and are tasked with maintaining an optimal environment for the preparation and storage of medications. They also assist the pharmacists in meeting all regulatory compliance requirements.
Qualifications
Required Education: GED or High School Diploma Preferred Education: High school graduate with at least one year pharmacy technician experience. Necessary Skills: Excellent math skills Excellent customer service and compassion for our patients Good organization and communication skills Ability to perform detailed tasks with accuracy and efficiency Flexible and dependable Ability to work alongside multiple team members Required Licensure/Certifications: Registered Pharmacy Intern in Florida or Registered Pharmacy Technician in Florida. Required Experience: Less than one year - See 'Required Education' and 'Required Licensure/Certifications' sections for details Preferred Experience: One or more years of pharmacy technician experience.
