Gathers pertinent patient information so patients can be scheduled, verified/authorized and pre-registered prior to initiation of rehab services. Assists with verifying insurance or other third party coverage, obtaining pre-certification, coordinating financial issues with internal and external departments, and resolving or referring non-financial concerns of the patient to the appropriate department or agency. Enters data into computer systems
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Proficiency in basic computer skills, including word processing, is required. A minimum of one year of experience in a medical setting is preferred. Previous experience in a rehabilitation setting is also preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
None required.
Motor Vehicle Operator Designation
Employees in this position will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose.
