In this role the Medical Laboratory Assistant will perform the following job duties:
FTE .50 (20 hours/week)
Hours: 7:00pm-7:30am
Days: Variable

Responsibilities
In this role the Medical Laboratory Assistant will perform the following job duties:
- Under direct supervision, perform routine laboratory analytical procedures related to preparing and storing human biological samples, blood and body fluids, for microbiological, hematological, immune-hematological and chemical analysis.
- Release and/or place orders in hospital and laboratory computer systems, receives, processes and distributes specimens and/or blood products.
- Performs various functions including loading samples onto analyzers, preparing slides for staining and preparing samples for transport to other laboratories.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Health related or science background with lab specific experience, preferred
- Must have computer operational skills using a personal computer, laboratory system or other hospital information system.
