Overview:
Under the direction of the Safety and Emergency Preparedness Manager, this role will address all Emergency Preparedness Management Plan elements as identified by the Joint Commission for both the hospitals and clinics.
Qualifications:Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's in Emergency Management preferred. HS graduate with: a minimum of three (3) years of experience in emergency response planning; exercised development and execution will be considered in lieu of degree. Experience in a hospital environment is preferred, but military or civil emergency response experience may be considered in lieu of hospital experience. Must demonstrate knowledge of regulations, including OSHA, NFPA, EPA, Joint Commission, and other regulatory agencies. Must have the following skills: computer skills, excellent written and verbal skills, the ability to research and interpret information.
Motor Vehicle Operator Designation (Required):
Employees in this position:
Will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a 'non-frequent driver.'
NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or University of Florida Health automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week, or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the Performance of his/her job.
