Hours: 9am to 9pm
Under the direction of the RN, the ED Technician facilitates patient care by providing advanced physical care and clinical procedures, providing patients with comfort measures and maintaining a clean and organized environment. Works as a member of the ED patient care team within the guidelines of his/her certification under the direct supervision of an ED Physician.

Works as a member of the ED patient care team within the guidelines of his/her certification under the direct supervision of an ED Physician.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates clinical care that is safe, best outcome practice with all Core Measures compliant.
- Documents care provision per departmental standards.
- Demonstrates compliance with all HCAHPS behaviors to allow patients and families to have an excellent hospital experience.
- Completes assigned work as scheduled in allotted time frame.
- Engages in departmental/hospital committees, PI projects, educational offerings to peers, mentoring/precepting of new team members.
- Attends Staff Meetings, completes all required competencies and mandatory education as assigned.
- Seeks training, educational, certification and enhancement in area focus/specialty.
- Demonstrates behavior standards that enhance positive interactions with physicians, peers, patients and family members.
- Completes other duties as requested/assigned.
Education
- Associates Degree (Preferred)
- Post High School Special Training
- Florida Paramedic license
- BLS
- ACLS preferred
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
