We’re looking for a dynamic, driven, career-minded and pediatric-focused nurse to join our pediatric infusion team to provide cellular collection services in our state-of-the-art Apheresis Unit. This is an extraordinary opportunity to work with one of the nation’s leading pediatric care teams providing a wide variety of therapeutic blood donor services, including hematopoietic progenitor cell (HPC) collections for bone marrow transplant and mononuclear cell collections (MNC). MNC products include donor lymphocyte collections, chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CART) collections and other lymphocyte-rich cellular collections for clinical trials.
As a pediatric apheresis nurse at UF Health Shands, you’ll be able to:

- Work with a highly skilled team of pediatric-focused clinicians and other specialists. \n
- Provide direct patient care, including evaluation, assessments and interventions to ensure optimal patient outcomes. \n
- Facilitate communication between the care team, patients and family members. \n
- Supervise and direct LPN staff and unlicensed assistive personnel. \n
- Assign, delegate and coordinate care to members of the health team and other professional services as needed. \n
- Participate in unit-based activities that contribute to a positive work and professional environment. \n
- Assist with resident and medical student training. \n
We’re seeking dynamic and well-rounded nurse candidates with a current RN license in Florida. Preferred applicants should have experience in apheresis, hemodialysis or ECMO, as well as a BSN and board certification. Applicants without a BSN would be required to obtain their degree within three years, and applicants without board certification will be required to obtain certification within two years of hire.
