Job Opening Summary
The Director of Community Engagement is responsible for the campus-wide Community Engagement activities and reports to the Vice President of Community Engagement. This position is both a strategic and hands-on management and leadership position. In partnership with the Vice President, the director will develop, direct and oversee campus-wide community engagement strategy and implementation, including community giving, CHNA, and UF Health Jacksonville-sponsored community engagement events. Within the UF Health system, community engagement activities are localized and have structural and reporting relationships unique to each hospital.

Required Licensure/Certifications:

Required Experience:
5 years experience in community relations/community engagement, public affairs/public relations, nonprofit management, government relations, or a related field. . Demonstrated track record of building outstanding interpersonal relationships with colleagues, leaders, internal clients and external constituencies.
Preferred Experience:
Experience interacting with community, regional or state leadgers/officials is preferred
