We have a great opportunity for a candidate who is detail-oriented and committed to accuracy in their work as an Engraving Etcher— no prior experience required, as we provide on-the-job training. Hours for this position are M–F, 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm.
In this role you will -
- Accurately measure and add chemicals to etching baths and sumps according to established specifications
- Monitor chemical levels and maintain optimal bath conditions for copper plate etching
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols when handling chemical substances
- Assist with routine preventative maintenance procedures
- Clean and maintain mechanical devices and hardware components
- Support the replacement of non-precision mechanical equipment as needed
- Inspect etched products for defects and verify conformance to process specifications
- Identify and report any quality issues or process deviations
- Maintain detailed records of chemical additions and process parameters
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow all OSHA and environmental regulations
Required Skills
- Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
- Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn etching equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.
- At least 1 year experience operating etching tank preferred
- Proven mechanical aptitude
