Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Electrical/Battery Engineer III to join our team in an on-site, full-time capacity at our Charleston, South Carolina Metropolitan Area location. In this role, you will design, develop, and test innovative battery and energy storage systems, contributing to research and development initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing technical analyses, improving battery performance, conducting materials evaluations, and supporting the development of new electrical engineering solutions for various power systems and applications. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and identifying improvement opportunities is vital.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Batteries and Energy Storage, and knowledge of charging systems and battery performance optimization.
- Experience with electrical CAD tools (e.g., Altium Designer), simulation software like MATLAB/Simulink, and potentially programming languages like C or Python.
- Proficiency in Electrical Engineering concepts and principles, including power system design and circuit analysis.
- Experience in Research and Development (R&D) with proven ability to innovate and develop engineering solutions.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; commitment to quality and continuous improvement processes.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Experience with industry standards and best practices for battery systems; familiarity with ISO9001 and AS9100 quality systems is a plus.
