Description
Overview:
The Assembler III performs complex assemblies, interprets technical documentation, and provides day-to-day support to lower-level assemblers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Production Support
- Perform complex or multi-step assembly operations independently following work instructions and drawings.
- Support daily production activities as assigned.
- Assist with equipment setup and basic troubleshooting.
- Interpret drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
Quality & Safety
- Follow safety protocols and quality requirements.
- Adhere to work instructions and quality standards, including AS9100 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 where applicable.
- Perform in-process inspections and measurements.
- Support audits, rework, and corrective actions.
Documentation
- Accurately complete required production and quality documentation.
Mentorship
- Assist in training and onboarding Assemblers I–II.
Marginal Responsibilities
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education, Knowledge, & Skills Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with 2-5 years of related experience.
- Strong understanding of drawings and specifications.
- Proven measurement and quality proficiency.
Work Requirements/Condition
- Work performed in a manufacturing and production environment.
- Extended periods of standing may be required; seating is available at all workstations.
- Must be able to lift and move materials up to 25 pounds independently.
- Frequent use of hands for operating equipment, computers, and hand tools.
- May require bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements.
- Required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses in designated areas.
- Must wear company-issued smock or ESD-protective garments where required.
- Compliance with all company safety policies and procedures is mandatory.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this role due to federal regulations.
