UE SYSTEMS
Elmsford, NY Full Time
POSTED ON 7/10/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 1/5/2027

Location: Elmsford, NY (onsite)

Reports To: Director of Operations

Compensation: $90,000 USD – $110,000 USD annually

Who We Are

At UE Systems we believe that every person, regardless of their industry, company size, experience, or budget, should have the tools and support to help their facilities operate more efficiently, reliably, and safely. We do this by providing a portfolio of ultrasound solutions designed to be versatile and simple to use.

Since 1973, we have helped thousands of customers across the world prevent equipment failures, identify energy losses, and return home safe to their families. We are continuing to grow as we build a more disciplined, globally connected operating system to support our customers and our next stage of growth.

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on quality and repair leader to develop UE’s global repair and quality program from our Elmsford facility. This role will build the procedures, controls, records, escalation paths, and operating discipline required to ensure repairs, inspections, supplier issues, and product releases are handled consistently across UE and our manufacturing partners.

The first mandate is practical: standardize repair/RMA flow, create ISO 9001-aligned QA procedures, ensure acceptance criteria are approved before product is accepted or rejected, and create visibility into repair status, quality issues, corrective actions, and recurring failures.

Our People

They Own Their Day: We do not micro-manage. Our team understands the outcome, makes disciplined decisions, and communicates early when priorities, risks, or constraints change.

They Believe in a Team Approach: No one is expected to be a master of everything. We rely on each other, bring different strengths to the table, and build better systems together.

They Always Look Through a Customer Lens: Every process we build should make it easier to serve the customer accurately, reliably, and on time.

Your Impact

• Develop and own UE’s global QA/QMS program for repair, inspection, nonconformance, corrective action, quality records, traceability, calibration, training, and audit readiness.

• Own the repair and RMA process from intake through diagnosis, repair, testing, disposition, documentation, warranty status, and return shipment, with clear backlog and turnaround-time visibility.

• Create and maintain controlled repair, inspection, testing, and release procedures in partnership with Engineering so product is accepted or rejected only against approved specifications and methods.

• Lead NCR, MRB, root-cause, CAPA, and effectiveness verification for supplier, internal, repair, and customer issues; ensure containment and follow-up are timely and documented.

• Support supplier and contract manufacturer quality readiness, including inspection standards, sample validation, supplier nonconformance follow-up, manufacturing changes, and transition planning.

• Use repair, warranty, inspection, and supplier-quality data to identify recurring failures, cost drivers, customer-impact risks, and improvement priorities for Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain.

• Lead, train, and develop the repair/quality team, setting daily priorities, safety expectations, documentation standards, and a disciplined continuous-improvement rhythm.

Your Experience

• 8 years of experience in quality, repair/service operations, supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or technical product operations, ideally with electromechanical, electronics, instrumentation, or industrial equipment.

• Proven experience developing a QA/QMS program from an early-stage, inconsistent, or under-documented environment; candidates should be able to describe what they personally built and implemented.

• Working ISO 9001 knowledge, including document control, NCR/CAPA, traceability, audit readiness, calibration/records, training records, management review inputs, and continual improvement.

• At least one relevant quality credential such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor/Internal Auditor, ASQ CMQ/OE, ASQ CQA, ASQ CQE, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent practical certification.

• Experience creating inspection, troubleshooting, repair, test, and release procedures from approved engineering specifications, drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.

• Strong root-cause and corrective-action capability using practical methods such as 8D, 5 Whys, fishbone, Pareto, failure trend analysis, and effectiveness checks.

• Experience working with suppliers, contract manufacturers, Engineering, Operations, Warehouse, Customer Service, and leadership to resolve quality issues and drive closure.

• Clear communicator and strong executor who can define the issue, document the process, train the team, close the loop, and measure whether the change worked.

Nice to Have

• ASQ CMQ/OE, ASQ CQE, ASQ CQA, or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification.

• Experience preparing a company for ISO 9001 certification or leading internal/external audits.

• Experience with contract manufacturing transitions, supplier audits, SCAR processes, electronics repair, calibration, global repair depots, or field-service quality.

• Exposure to certification-sensitive or regulated products, including ATEX, IECEx, FM, UL, CSA, ISO 17025, or similar requirements.

• Hands-on experience with ERP, RMA, QMS, BI, or service-management systems.
