Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Assistant Jeweler to join our dynamic jewelry design and manufacturing team. In this role, you will support the creation, assembly, and finishing of jewelry pieces, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and artistic excellence.
You will also engage with customers on the sales floor assisting with designs and sales of existing merchandise when needed.

Responsibilities
- Assist in the design process by creating sketches, illustrations.
- Support the production team with jewelry assembly, setting stones, polishing, and finishing techniques.
- Maintain organized workstations and ensure all tools and materials are properly stored and calibrated.
- Support the sales staff with input on repairs and enhancements for sales.
- Collaborate with senior jewelers on project development, ensuring designs meet specifications and quality standards.
- Contribute to the development of artistic concepts by researching trends in fashion design, textiles in industrial design, and jewelry aesthetics.
- Assist with inventory management of gemstones, metals, and other materials used in jewelry production.
Requirements.
- Knowledge of jewelry construction techniques such as sewing (for textile-based jewelry), setting stones, soldering, and polishing.
- Strong artistic skills with an eye for color theory, visual balance, and detail-oriented craftsmanship.
- Ability to communicate effectively across teams including designers, artisans, and retail staff through cross-functional communication skills.
- Background or interest in fashion styling, merchandising, theater experience or professional art/design is advantageous but not required.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
