LEAD PRODUCTION OPERATOR - ICE CREAM PLANT

Job Responsibilities

United Dairy Farmers is seeking a Production Lead Operator for our ice cream plant located in Norwood, Oh.

The Production Lead Operator ensures efficiency and oversees the Ice Cream production team as well as managing administrative task.

This position is an integral part of the Ice Cream production team, working to maximize the effectiveness, compliance, and day to day production function of Ice Cream production with a lead by example mindset.

Responsibilities for this role include, but not limited to:

• Knowledge of basic GMP's
• Pallet Jack Certification
• Cleaning Totes
• Maintaining Shrink Wrap
• Packaging
• Maintaining Box Machine
• Setup for fillers for production along with filler head checks
• Understanding coder Operations for startup, shutdown & changeover
• Reading the production schedules, etc.
• All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience: 3 years’ experience in manufacturing environment , food manufacturing is a definite plus.

Certification: Forklift Experience, DOT Physical Card.

Interpersonal Ability: Ability to effectively communicate and receive directive from management and complete tasks by utilizing your team for successful outcomes.

Organizational Ability: Ability to organize your own workload and the workload of team members so work is completed accurately and on a timely basis.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of variables within the Commissary using knowledge of policy and SOPs to mediate through situations that may arise.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word©; Microsoft Excel© and Sage X3.

3 years of manufacturing experience in a Lead role is highly desired. Experience in food manufacturing is a definite plus.

This is a full-time position. Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
