Ultra Defense Corp (UDC) is looking for a Material Handler to add to our Marshall, TX facility.

*NOTE* Due to the nature of our business, if you have a felony conviction on your record that resulted in a sentence of more than 12 months (suspended or served), you are ineligible for interview.

This position is not an order pull warehouse type position.

Promote efficient operations by timely processing the movement of product into and out of the warehouse. Candidates must have 2 or more years dedicated and verifiable in the position of Material Handler and within the last ten years to be considered for this position.

Knowledge and Experience Required:

Licenses or Certifications Required or Preferred: Valid drivers license required, previous Forklift certification (UDC will certify to current). Ability to pass background check for working with explosives.

Education / Experience required:

  • Must have minimum of 2 years dedicated and verifiable in the position of Material Handler
  • Past inventory, materials management and shipping experience highly preferred.
  • General computer use knowledge required.
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience as well as prior work with Inventory ERP Systems highly preferred.

Special Knowledge Skills or Abilities Required: Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Ability to communicate with internal and external customers regarding shipments, inventory and other operational subjects. Ability to effectively coordinate shipments and address situations with external vendors, freight carriers and customers when required. Demonstrate ability to operate warehouse equipment with competency, forklift certification required with thirty (30) days of hire/promotion date (UDC will certify to current). Fluent reading, speaking and written English communication required. Must pass drug screening.

Working near moving mechanical parts.

Limited exposure to airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.

RESPONSIBILITIES -

Load and unload trucks; receive, inspect materials arriving at warehouse. Monitor stability and organization of materials in warehouse. Exhibit knowledge and compliance with Company and Material Handling Operating Procedures. Process and/or distribute all related incoming paperwork. Proper identification of materials in accordance with “Receiving, Material Movement, Inventory Control” operating procedures. Perform physical inventory and cycle counts. Maintain warehouse equipment.

Minimize non-quality events with regards to shipping and distribution errors, wait times due to distribution or loading. Maintain good time management. Maximize efficiency and minimize scrap material and rework while controlling perishable operation supplies.

Maintain clean and orderly work area using general housekeeping procedures as well as complying with company safety policies in accordance with the Safety Manual. Work in a manner that incorporates a complete understanding of the OSHA rules personal and workplace safety, while reporting any noncompliance to your immediate supervisor.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
