Position Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor – Cold Storage is responsible for leading all freezer warehouse operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient handling of butter inventory in a temperature-controlled environment ranging from 32°F to -10°F.
This role oversees inbound receipts, outbound shipments, inventory accuracy, trailer temperature compliance, food safety standards, and employee supervision. The Cold Storage Supervisor serves as the on-site operational leader and ensures product integrity from storage through shipment while supporting overall warehouse operations across sites as needed.
What You’ll Do
- Supervise daily cold storage warehouse operations and team members
- Oversee inbound butter receipts and outbound load execution
- Ensure accurate inventory transactions within ERP systems (M3 or equivalent)
- Manage title transfer (TT) processing and monthly inventory reconciliation
- Monitor trailer placement, dock activity, and reefer temperature compliance
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, labeling issues, or product variances
- Enforce HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards
- Maintain accurate documentation for audits and quality verification
- Conduct coaching, performance discussions, and documentation in HR systems
- Ensure forklift inspections and safety compliance are completed
- Optimize freezer space and pallet placement within limited footprint
- Coordinate with Production, QA, Commercial, and Transportation teams
- Provide operational leadership support and coverage for Dry Storage operations when required
- Proactively identify operational risks and implement solutions
What We’re Looking For
- 3 years of warehouse experience (food-grade or cold storage preferred)
- 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience
- Experience operating in freezer or cold-chain environments
- Strong inventory control and attention to detail
- Experience with ERP systems (M3, Factory Track, SAP, etc. preferred)
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to support cross-site or dry storage operations as business needs require
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work performed in temperature-controlled environments ranging from 32°F to -10°F
- Ability to lift up to 55lbs
- Frequent standing, walking, and forklift operation
- Exposure to cold storage conditions for extended periods
- PPE required for cold storage and safety compliance
Salary : $52,000 - $69,000
