Job Description
Applies acquired skills and professional clinical applications concepts for small to medium sized projects of moderate scope. Operates independently within defined scope of responsibilities. Reports into the FPO Supervisor of Ambulatory Capacity Management. Template builder is responsible for creating, analyzing, and supporting provider and ancillary templates. Serves as the subject matter expert for template design and build through analysis of provider utilization reports. Scope includes template design and management for provider schedules. Performs duties pertaining to scheduling templates, managing all incoming change requests for provider templates in EPIC. Responsible for determining impact on decision trees and maintaining organization standards. Template Maintenance Team identifies and proactively mitigate issues which create barriers to ambulatory access and patient flow.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of relevant experience
- Working knowledge of clinical applications systems and functions, including development, implementation, user support, maintenance, and system testing and evaluation
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose issues and develop multiple effective and timely solutions
- Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills to collaborate effectively on a team and provide training and support to clinical providers and staff
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, set schedules, and complete projects efficiently
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to clinical users
- Working knowledge of departmental systems and procedures for documentation and reporting, including the ability to perform testing and analyze and interpret data
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare information technology, computer science, or related area; and/or equivalent combination of experience/training
