JOB DESCRIPTION
Involves patient care services for a range of mental health disorders, often severe including major depressive disorders, paranoia, schizophrenia, or bipolar disorder. Settings may be inpatient, outpatient or clinical research studies. Patient care may be provided by a combination of licensed clinicians, as well as counselors and crisis intervention specialists. Patients typically require routine assistance, treatment or a specialized and controlled environment. Primary emphasis on treatment and attempt where possible to help patients control their own lives in the outside world, with the use of a combination of psychiatric drugs and psychotherapy.

In partnership with psychologists from the UCSF Eating Disorder Program, deliver protocolized research psychedelic-assisted therapy for adolescent and young adult research participants with eating disorders, including psychotherapy for patients receiving hallucinogenic medications such as psilocybin or ketamine. Related responsibilities will include:

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related area and 1 related work experience; and/or equivalent experience
- Basic skills in providing behavioral / educational interventions.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and ethical standards associated with profession.
- Basic knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.
- Effective verbal and written communication. Demonstrated active listening and persuasion skills.
- Skills in collaborating with interdisciplinary team.
