Job Description
The IR Procedural Physician Assistant will provide sterile first-assist support in IR suites and independently perform select low-complexity procedures and associated periprocedural care, enabling increased procedural throughput, maximum utilization of space and staff resources, and allowing attendings to focus on higher-complexity interventions while meeting the needs of the entire health system for routine and complex Interventional Radiology care.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from a PA Program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the PA (ARC-PA).
Two (2) years procedural or acute care PA experience

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from a PA Program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the PA (ARC-PA).
Two (2) years procedural or acute care PA experience
Preferred Requirements
- Experience working in an academic medical center or large integrated health system
- Demonstrated sterile technique and procedural skill.
- Prior independent performance of paracentesis and thoracentesis.
- Prior ultrasound-guided biopsy experience.
- California Physician Assistant (PA) License without restriction
- National Board Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- California Driver License (if required for position)
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration with Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5 registered to a California address
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Additional required AHA certifications: ACLS
- Additional required certifications (such as ENLS):None
