Job Description
The Clinical Social Worker II will be on the social work/behavioral health team at the UCSF Women’s HIV Program (WHP). WHP is an outpatient primary care clinic for women with HIV (WWH) that uses an innovative model of trauma-informed healthcare (TIHC) to provide culturally sensitive and effective integrated medical and behavioral health care to patients as well as nurturing support to staff and providers. WHP has a strong multidisciplinary team of providers and staff to address patients’ needs in a holistic and integrated way—including primary care, pharmacy, Ob/Gyn, psychiatry, therapy, social work, case management, substance use, and nursing.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree from a CSWE accredited school of Social Work.
- ASW certification
- 1 year in an outpatient medical or behavioral health setting and direct clinical experience in the treatment of multiply diagnosed clients (mental health conditions, substance abuse, medical issues, etc.).
- Lived experience of and/or professional experience addressing HIV, trauma, racism and/or other forms of discrimination, substance use, mental health concerns, and chronic health conditions.
- Experience in facilitating groups with multiply diagnosed clients.
- Experience assessing and treating trauma and substance use in adults.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish – written, reading, and oral proficiency.
- ASW certification
