General Plant / Manufacturing Worker
Now hiring a full time General Plant / Manufacturing Worker for a 24/7 operation. This is an excellent growth opportunity for a motivated, hard-working, punctual individual.
Job Responsibilities:
- Clearly and respectfully communicates with supervisors and coworkers
- Follows instructions from more experienced employees to operate machines, hold or supply materials and tools, and load and unload items from machines and assembly lines.
- Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
- Participates in the shipment loading process.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; proper tool storage; sweep, dust and mop.
- Organizes warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
- Cleans and lubricates equipment
- Locates parts, tag them with identifying text and numbers, and record information such as gauge readings, products produced and manufacturing times.
- Monitors for defective products or equipment malfunctions, and reports any problems to higher-level employees. Assists with any repairs/maintenance if necessary.
- Wears the proper safety equipment (PPE)
- Maintains a tidy and safe workspace.
- Adheres to company rules and regulations.
Job Requirements:
- This role requires a general aptitude with math, record-keeping, and attention to detail.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred
- Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs, ascending/descending stairs & ladders, working in extreme temperatures, and general physical fitness.
