Home Support Specialist
Various Part time hours - pay range 18.28-19.78/hour
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), the Home Support Specialist provides essential assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities living in community-based settings. This role focuses on helping individuals build and maintain functional daily living skills so they can live as independently as possible. Support is tailored to each person's goals, preferences, and needs, ensuring dignity, choice, and community inclusion.
Minimum Requirements
· Education: High school diploma/GED
· Age: At least 21 years old
· Experience: Six months of successful work or volunteer experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities (preferred)
· Licenses / Certifications:
o Valid Illinois Driver's License
o Proof of auto insurance meeting minimum legal coverage requirements
o Ability to obtain medication self-administration training and defensive driving certification within the first 90 days of employment
Salary : $18 - $20
