What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Program Room Lead position at UCP of Long Island?
Overview
The Room Lead will plan activities for adults with developmental disabilities in a OPWDD certified Day Program, provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living and provide direction to the direct care workers in the room.
Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm, no evenings or weekends required.
What you’ll do
- Fun supportive work environment
- Develop program goals for adults in a day program
- Provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living
- Drive program participants in agency vans, must be able to assist individuals with wheelchairs and tie downs.
- Lead the team of DSP's in creating and providing fun and meaningful experiences
Basic qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Valid clean NYS Driver License required
- Two years of experience working with persons with Developmental Disabilities preferred

Pay: $19.21 - $24.34 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
