As a key member of our Facilities Operations department, you will be responsible for performing general maintenance and preventative maintenance duties required to repair and maintain various types of college property and equipment.

This is a full-time position that requires flexibility to meet department needs, including some evening, weekends, and extended hours. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building trades, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or automotive repair. You will work closely with our facilities team to ensure that all campus buildings and grounds are maintained to a high standard.
Responsibilities
- Install equipment, repair, and maintain campus buildings and plumbing facilities
- Assist with routine maintenance tasks, including electrical, roofing, carpentry, and landscaping
- Detect faulty equipment and report questionable conditions to the Facilities Site Lead
- Perform general construction tasks, including new work, remodeling, and repairs
- Operate heavy equipment and repair same for weed and grass control, snow removal, landscaping, grading, and trenching
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with computerized HVAC management systems
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED certification required
- Trade school or vocational education preferred
- Minimum three years' experience in building trades
- Valid New Jersey driver's license
